Adam Szymkowicz has got some great advice for playwrights on his blog. Check it out. Wish I'd seen a list like that 20 years ago (though I think I ended up doing most of what he lists, but maybe not quite so intentionally).
One writer attempting to become a triple-threat (to write books, plays, and movies). And about the rest of life that happens along the way. Oh, and farming, too.
Coming Up
My newest full-length play, Flight, will have a reading at the id theatre, in New York on February 27, as part of Sit In reading series.
Tornado Siren, is now available as an ebook for Kindle, Nook, and other formats (via Smashwords).
You can also buy a signed copy of Tornado Siren for $7 (shipping included).
I'm trying for a career in stage, page, and screen, because each medium gives me some of what I need, but not completely. I'm an active playwright, with more than 300 productions and readings of my work. My first novel was released in early 2006. As a screenwriter, I've had work optioned, but nothing has made it to the big screen yet. And this year, I'm also taking up farming (seriously), at the Pen and Pepper Farm. You can e-mail me at pat@gabridge.com.
