Research aides: software

Check out this post at Writing the Play. (I found out about it from Laura.) She gives a very helpful list of software that might prove helpful in managing research info. I've written two full-length historical plays, and I wish that I'd had some helpful software to manage all the various documents and source materials. Instead, I have manila files and lots of color coded index cards. Next time I work on an historical piece (which might not be far off) or some other non-fiction project, I definitely need to check out the software listed on this post.
